Dive into tech with your non-tech degree

If you have already graduated college with a non-tech degree and want to enter tech, then this program is perfect for you. Through the Illinois Computing Accelerator for Non-specialists (iCAN) program, tech newbies who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than computer science can build the skills that will help get their tech career off the ground.

iCAN is a one-year program that starts in the fall, spring, and summer, and results in a Computing Fundamentals Certificate.

iCAN’s mission is to broaden participation in computing through an accelerated program for non-computer science college graduates. Hands-on course work in computing fundamentals, individualized attention from world-class, and academic and career mentoring empower iCAN students to make ground-breaking research contributions and technological innovations.
